Is staying in a Big Sur cabin on your bucket list? Finally, we made it happen after dreaming about it for years. The experience was magical!
My cabin had a kitchenette that felt almost like a full kitchen. It didn’t have a stove, but there was a microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle and a good assortment of basic kitchen tools. It would have been possible for us to prepare and eat all of our meals at the cabin. However, there are some really good restaurants in Monterey County, so we did go out for some of our meals.
Big Sur is a wonderful place to visit and now is the perfect time to do it. Coast highway is now open, since bridges damaged in last Winter's storms have been repaired. You can now get to Big Sur from the south and the north.
